About the service |
This service will provide a means for ENTIRE clients to have detailed physical analysis carried out on electronic component samples to help identify process problems, reasons for failure or to evaluate whether or not their products will meet the quality requirements of specific industry sectors (e.g. automotive, telecommunications, aerospace, medical, etc.) |
What to expect |
Tyndall will offer a range of analysis techniques including: high magnification imaging, X-ray & CT-scan imaging, Scanning Acoustic Microscopy (SAM), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) elemental analysis, cross-sectioning, ion-milling, seal testing & bond strength testing. The standard service will typically involve the use of one or more of these techniques to assist clients in the identification of defects, process problems and causes of failure. The advanced technology evaluation will involve most or all of the above analysis techniques to provide a comprehensive evaluation of component construction & quality. This work is typically carried out for clients who wish to demonstrate that their products will meet the stringent quality requirements of high-reliability industry sectors. |
